Another Day on the Nullabor

A long drive on the endless flat straight road across the treeless Nullabor Plain punctuated by the occasional stop for fuel at  roadhouses with their huge dusty gravel parking areas selling expensive fuel, snacks and souvenirs and with generally pretty poor toilet facilities. It is all part of the Nullabor road journey which we have been fortunate to do both west to east and now east to west and if you're into road journeys it's one not to be missed.

After completing the longest straight section (approximately 90 miles without a kink) and heading towards Norseman we came across Fraser Ridge Station - a 500,000 acre working farm, today mainly sheep. There were good camping facilities but the best bit, particularly as we were getting short of supplies is they were offering a roast beef dinner in the farm kitchen for just $25 a head.
