Fowler Bay was a great stopover and after a slow start in the morning we made our way on a rough track to rejoin the Eyre Highway at Nundroo first passing through the excellent Coorabie with its little war memorial and school. A long slog down the endless Eyre Highway stopping at a couple of scenic lookouts and a lunch stop at the Nullabor Roadhouse and then on to the state border with the usual fruit and veg inspection. We stopped the night at Eucla just 10kms into Western Australia.
Time differences are tricky here. You gain 2.5 hours from south Australia but only 1.75 hours at Eucla where we are staying. Only an hour or so down the road you gain another three quarters of an hour at Ceduna. In theory you can leave Ceduna and arrive in Eucla at the same time! Just like in international offices with 3 clocks showing the time in London, Paris, New York here it is Eucla, South Australia and Perth. Anyway, it's all very confusing.
