Probably the highlight of the cruise was sailing through Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound on the very southern tip of the south island. Most of it you could only see from a boat. The captain deserves some credit for getting such a large ship through some tight channels. The weather was pretty grey and getting cold being so far south but it only added to the atmosphere. Again it was so well organised by the crew. You could go on the top deck and listen to a running commentary from an experienced guide or as we did, stay on the balcony in your cabin with a hot chocolate listening to the same commentary through your TV. A memorable day.
