Australian weather - Australia actually has a lot more weather than us Brits realise. In the north it is incredibly wet, hot and humid for six months of the year. In the centre it is just plain hot. Down the south winters can be quite long and at times pretty cold. Even at this time of year in early December temperatures can fluctuate wildly. 24 hours ago the daytime temperature was 38 degrees. Today it is 18 degrees.
We left Arno Bay under grey clouds after one last walk on the excellent boardwalk and headed down the coast stopping at Tumby Bay, through Port Lincoln and then onto the picturesque Coffin Bay. We spent 3 days around Coffin Bay. The national Park just outside is a must so we camped there for a night. The scenery is breathtaking with wild stretches of coastline but we were drawn back to Coffin Bay with happy hour and excellent food at the yacht club complete with kangaroos and pelicans on the lawn and unsurpassable views over the bay.
